Survivor Gabon, Here I Come!

Mark your calendars, Survivor Gabon is coming in two weeks (September 26, 2008 at 7:20 PM Philippine Time on Q-TV, the sister network of GMA). Geez, this is way cooler than I thought and I'm looking forward to it.

Now that 2008 Tennis Grand Slams are all finished; Djokovic and Sharapova were hailed as the champions in the Australian Open, Nadal and Ivanovic brought home the bacon during the French Open finals, Nadal and Venus Williams had proven once again they are the UNDEFEATABLE in Wimbledon and Federer and Serena Williams recently nailed the hardcourt in US Open Finals; there's no other reason why I can't put my hundred percent attention to Survivor Gabon.

Gabon is the seventeenth season of this Emmy-award reality competition series and I miss watching the show on primetime TV. The fact that Survivor Fiji, Survivor China and Survivor Micronesia were ax in Studio 23, I was only watching the show's highlights in Youtube and CBS.com. Oftentimes, the video clips were not working properly due to slow internet connection. It was really crazy that time but the experience will now be buried. It remains a memory and only a memory.

Here's the Unofficial Survivor: Gabon Intro I stumbled upon in YouTube.

First Impression Favorites

Every season of Survivor, it has been my routine to choose my first-impression favorites before the show will be aired on TV. Sometimes, my favorites were voted out early and failed to make it on final four but there are still times I got lucky and my favorites would sail through the final two. In fact, two of my first impression favorites grab the title of the sole survivor and these castaways are Aras Baskauskas of Survivor Panama Exile Islands and Parvati Shallow of Survivor Micronesia Fans vs Favorites.

In Gabon, two of the eighteen castaways were a stand out and hopefully, one of them can make on the jury.

KELLY CZARNECKI

AGE: 22
OCCUPATION: Retail sales

JEFF PROBST SAYS: "The way I would describe Kelly is that she is part of the Text Message Generation. And she speaks that way, she'll say, 'OMG!' for 'Oh, my God!' That's Kelly. And just as a grown man looking at her I could say, 'That's charming, she's young and has her whole life ahead of her.' But as a tribemate I'd probably say, 'If she says OMG, I'll probably say GTFOH."

MATTY WHITMORE

AGE: 29
OCCUPATION: Personal trainer

JEFF PROBST SAYS: "I think Matty will be one of the favorites this season, someone people will absolutely love. I find him to be one of the most endearing guys we've ever had on the show to the point where it could work against him because he can't hide anything. If he's confused, he says, 'I'm confused.' If he's happy, he's smiling. If he's sad, he's crying."

I'm also rooting for MICHELLE CHASE aged 24 and works as a music production assistant and there's also the 32-year-old DAN KAY who works as a lawyer.
